Strong on the Inside

Sunday, April 24, 2016

This past Sunday we heard a message titled "Strong on the Inside", Out of Ephesians 3:14-19. In the passage Paul taught the church of Ephesus, a church that was in transition from a children's level to a mature one. Our strength starts on the inside to reach the goal we have, by keeping the pace and not slowing down.

Our inner strength is determined by what we speak (See Proverbs 4:23), (Mathew 15: 11-19), (Proverbs 18:21) and (Psalm 118). The way we respond when things look impossible, can change life and death. We speak according to the spirit (See Ephesians 6:18). The strength is not in us.

Our inner strength is anchored by where we stand (See Ephesians 3:18) Many times we say to ourselves “if I get a job I will tithe”, If I get better I will worship” etc. But we have to understand that we are healed and restored because we are anchored in HIM. Jesus dwells in our hearts after salvation we received the love that is going to help us to live differently here on earth and to go to heaven. God meets us where we are and takes us where we need to be. (See Ephesians 1: 3-4). We are love by HIM we are free and nothing can stand against us.

Our inner strength is encouraged by those around us. Our heavenly Father has placed believers around us that are going to lift us up. We need to fellowship with each other for support and pray for each other and get the strength that will keep us going.
